Our Story
A passion for cars and racing brought two neighborhood friends, Dave Acker & Joe Warner to a local Levittown Garage/Speed Shop where A&W Performance began in 1995. Dave Acker has since continued to race, build engines from Street to Strip, and install NOS Systems (an expertise that recognizes him for the elected nickname of “Mr. NOS”). He also developed his own Nitrous Plate system & products. A&W Performance Racing has always been known for being “Home of The Fastest Street Cars” with Dave’s 69 Camaro featured in Super Chevy & Hot Rod Magazines. His Toyota Celica was campaigned in both NSCA Street Outlaw & Orlando World Street Nationals.
Dave’s interest in cars began at a young age as he competed in the local Soapbox Derby and enjoyed riding dirt bikes. His father owned a Shelby Mustang and other muscle cars. Later Dave began street racing and was employed in the early 1990’s at a local Speed Shop just before opening A&W Performance.
A&W Performance Racing continues to grow our customer base of over 27 plus years at it’s Tullytown, PA location. Our solid reputation for quality expert performance builds for cars, trucks and boats keep satisfied customers returning.
